1930’s Teen Delinquents
i.e. life role models
I’m just gonna reblog this again because it’s one of my favorite pictures ever.
That girl in the chair seems like such a badass I bet she was the leader of the crew.
I want to write about these girls.
When I was a teenager my mother found my grandmother’s (her mother) school scrapbook. It included things like photos, notes, and a two page spread of every demerit she ever received over the course of her formal education. Each of them set aside with little tags like she was so fucking proud of them. They were all for things like, “Unladylike behavior” or, “Skirt too short” or, “refuses to listen to authority”. I loved that spread so much.
I always have to reblog this.
some muggleborn like “i want to be an astronaut when i grow up!”
wizard kids like “wtf is an astronaut”
"oh you know…the people who go to the moon"
YOU CANT JUST GO TO THE MOON
YOU NEED A ROCKETSHIP
DO YOU HAVE A ROCKETSHIP, POTTER?
every achievement in cinema history has led up to this moment
#that time that michael jordan retired from basketball to play baseball #and then was bad at baseball so went back to basketball #and in order to celebrate his return to basketball #we made a movie in which he teams up with 50 year old cartoon characters #to defeat the space aliens who magically stole the mojo of other famous basketball players #and planned to kidnap these 50 year old cartoon characters #so the cartoon characters who literally never played basketball in any of their cartoons #were like clearly the only way to settle this is with a game of basketball #and just when all hope seems lost #bill murray who has literally only been in one other scene in the movie #shows up completely without explanation #and no one questions it #and doesn’t even do anything to help the team like he literally just shows up to pass the ball to michael #and then michael jordan slam dunks the ball from half court to win the game #and someone in hollywood read that script #and was like yes perfect no changes need to be made let’s get this project going #i don’t believe in god #but i do believe in space jam
I too believe in Space Jam
YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND…what makes it even better is that Daffy DOES ask Bill Murray how/why he’s there and Bill nonchalantly sledgehammers the fourth wall to reply that the producer’s a friend of his and gave him a lift in. To which Daffy shrugs and says, “Well, that’s the way it goes.”
Everything about this movie is GOLD.
It’s performances like this which make me disappointed when I hear people say they don’t like Eccelston or skip over that whole season just to get to Tennant. Tennant was fantastic and a brilliant Doctor, but there wouldn’t be a Tennant Doctor without Eccleston’s Doctor. The way Tennant’s Doctor was portrayed was the effect that Rose had on Nine. In the beginning, Nine was harsh and unforgiving having come back from the Time War, his time with Rose softened that harsh attitude and it’s really shown in this episode.
“Just this once, everybody lives!” Has to be my absolute favourite line in all the history of Doctor who because in that episode everyone did.
I cry in almost all of Nine’s episodes. But not happy or sad tears. Just fucking intense emotion tears. He was fantastic.
I have a lot of favourite Doctors but Nine will and always be my Doctor. Not just my first Doctor but MY Doctor. And this is without doubt one of my favourite episodes.
omg tho the missed potential with kolyat not being a squad mate, i mean can you imagine the awkward small talk between a thane romancer and kolyat??
